The actress Patricia Neal has died of lung cancer at the age of 84. She won an Oscar for her role alongside Paul Newman in 1963's Hud. Not long after, she suffered from a series of strokes that made her unable to remember large portions of script. However, she would recover and go on to earn another Oscar nomination and an Academy Award nomination. Neal, who was well known for her husky voice, was married to Roald Dahl for 30 years and is the grandmother of Sophie Dahl. Her other notable roles include Breakfast at Tiffany's and The Day the Earth Stood Still...

If a rapper can't tell you everything you need to know about them in rhyme, are they really worth their salt?  Megastar Jay-Z is set to publish a memoir in November, ghost written by hip-hop journalist Dream Hampton. Named Decoded, it will factor in interviews with Jay-Z's friends and family, as well as the man himself. Oh, and to answer to that opening question, Jay-Z has this to say – ‘A book doesn't have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went'...

Clint Eastwood is 80-years-old. It would therefore be understandable that the American actor might misread the acronym UKFC as representing one of his country's most iconic fast food chains. Apparently not, though. Eastwood has written a letter to the MP George Osborne protesting the closure of the UK Film Council. He believes that its closure will result in some US filmmakers not visiting Britain, and that UKFC's rigorous support enabled him to shoot his most recent film Hereafter in Britain...
