Today's News: Kylie, Kerouac & Churchill...

The first reviews are coming in for the adaptation of Kerouac's beat classic On the Road but, unfortunately, it seems unlikely it will put the shine back on Kristen Stewart's recently tarnished rep – The Independent is unimpressed with the film's ‘safe' portrayal of the hedonistic road trip...
On the other hand, Palm d'Or contender Holy Motors (below) from Les Amants du Pont-Neuf writer and director Leos Carax and featuring Kylie Minogue's first foray into French cinema is already trailing comparisons to David Lynch, Fritz Lang and Gaspar Noé..
Playwright Carol Churchill's anticipated Love and Information enjoyed it's opening week at the Royal Court. With over 50 sketches and 100 plus characters, portrayed by the 16-member cast, it could easily have been an information overload but in director James MacDonald's capable hands it's hitting the mark...
And finally, if you don't fancy sitting through anything this weekend, The RA's exhibition Bronze is the perfect substitute. Spanning 5,000 years, the ambitious show is well on it's way to proving that real treasure needn't always be gold...
