I Love You Phillip Morris
Released: 17/03/2010
General Release
Some true stories were destined to become films. Based on a spectacular account by a former investigative reporter, Jim Carrey stars as a charismatic con artist-turned-prison escapee (his real-life counterpart is currently serving a 144-year sentence), who falls for Ewan McGregor’s sensitive inmate Phillip Morris. Plenty of humour and heart.

Francisco | 09.April.2010 | 16:48 | ReportI couldn't believe how funny this film was. I am a Carrey fan in any case, but somehow this just seemed to be the perfect role for him. I laughed out loud. It's quite clever the way you don't realise it's a love story until the film opens. I enjoyed its outrageousness too. The only downer came at the end, when you realised it didn't all end well for the real-life hero.

Sally | 22.March.2010 | 17:20 | ReportA perfect Sunday night film, I LOVE Jim Carey, Ewan McGregor does his usual really bad but somehow good acting. Quite a weird one but gets the tone right. I'm glad I didn't know anything abut it before seeing it, and the story is pretty amazing.
