This boasts as producers Peter Jackson and his co-producer/ screenwriter on the Lord of the Rings Trilogy (among other movies), Fran Walsh – both were drawn by its potential to save an innocent man. The Observer“Riveting...” The movie is both a shocking indictment of the American criminal justice system and a tribute to the dedication of selfless civil rights lawyers and their supporters from all over the world...
.
Little White Lies“A compelling take on a staggering story...” Its taut narrative control can occasionally come off as glossy campaigning, but it lets in just enough heartbreak to become a fitting testament to human tragedy...
.
Radio Times“Rigorously researched...” This does indeed add to the account, not least in challenging the accepted version of how the three boys were actually killed and in its shocker of an ending which points the finger of blame in a direction that is both surprising and convincing...
.
Guardian“A gripping documentary...” The movie shows the agonisingly slow progress made by the campaign, and the final agonising choice faced by the West Memphis Three...
.
The Telegraph“A long, fiercely compelling, often angry-making film...” It's is about the weighted scales of US justice, and amounts to a fight for fairness: when you have to settle for the best redress a corrupt judicial system can give you, it may be time to clean house...

.
Financial Times“Enthralling...” Astonishingly the film-makers shine a Klieg light on the likely murderer, still free and likely to remain so, despite damning DNA evidence. Incredulously we watch courtroom footage of this man resisting grillings which would barbecue a lesser liar...
.
Empire“Prepare to be shocked, disturbed, awed... ” Berg’s film is the story of the re-investigation, and it is spellbinding: as tragic, horrifying and morbidly fascinating as a motorway pile-up, and with as many victims. Yet this is not the story of a single injustice, but many...
.
Total Film “Inspiring, debaterousing stuff...” Berg’s enthralling treatment makes her film look anything but redundant. In the first half we see the dogged erosion of the skewed prosecution case. The second half homes in on a man the filmmakers suggest as the real killer...
.
Time Out film“Those who’ve seen ‘Paradise Lost’ will certainly encounter an overlap” Amy Berg's unfettered access creates a riveting sense of new evidence being uncovered before our eyes. There’s justifiable outrage here, but it’s lucid and focused...
