Anselm Kiefer- Il Mistero delle Cattedrali
Opens: 09/12/2011 Closes: 26/02/2012
White Cube Bermondsey, London
Using a site steeped in Germanic history, Berlin's Templehof airport, as a catalyst, and taking his title from an arcane text on cathedrals and alchemy, Kiefer conjures up large-scale artistic gold. Using oxidation and natural weathering, Joseph Beuys' former pupil fills the new White Cube with works of immense physicality.
