I have never been to such a dimly lit exhibition, but the pastels and paintings are stunning. Even tenuous links between technology and Degas' work (e.g. the panorama room) meant for more great things to look at. A little disturbed by so many portrayals of young girls all in one show.

What a good list, I think it might have persuaded me to read Ulysses. Anything about how brilliant cities are is good in my eyes.

08.June.2010 | 16:49Fra Angelico to Leonardo: Italian renaissance Drawings
A really beautiful show, the drawings often much more intimate and expressive than finished paintings of the era. There was some amazing grid patterns that looked exactly like 80s computer games and I loved learning about the encyclopaedic guide books filled with how to draw goats (among other things). It is big so perhaps go and see the famous people before you get tired...

Absolutely amazing use of Toploader, especially in the van scene which made me feel the most uncomfortably amused I think I ever have in a film. It is true that it is genuinely sad, and although the comedy's not always subtle or massively funny, there's an overall subtlety, the actors were generally excellent, and it stays with you.

The themes aren't subtle but there are some amazing works, particularly the Wilson sisters' video and its probably the least boring exhibition I've been to in months.

I agree! Its a shame it was on for so short a time. It's so imaginative and somehow the furthest thing from Disney and all the cartoons we're used to, but I think children will love it. Really good little fishy/ blobby things in it. I wanted to go again.

A perfect Sunday night film, I LOVE Jim Carey, Ewan McGregor does his usual really bad but somehow good acting. Quite a weird one but gets the tone right. I'm glad I didn't know anything abut it before seeing it, and the story is pretty amazing.

You want to take it all home with you, especially the hairdryers.
