23.July.2010 | 12:31Bret Easton Ellis - Imperial Bedrooms
This is not classic Bret Easton Ellis, but may become so over time – as often seems to happen with his work. High-octane, and quite staccato in style... worth reading.

I don't think that the critical response to this film is fair. It's an incredibly well depicted film that could do with further nuancing. It's certainly worth catching. Not for first dates, however.

I love this album. It's a neat encapsulation of what progressive pop can achieve.

This is an excellent album, well thought out and executed.

22.December.2009 | 12:37CultureCritic talks to Spike Jonze and Max Records about Where the Wild Things Are...
He's being coy about the studio intervention. I hear that there was a huge storm over the appropriateness of the film for a young audience, and that Spike was forced to make a number of cuts against his will.

I found this film visually stunning. In fact, its elegance was almost distracting. A stellar performance from Ben Whishaw. Although I couldn't understand why his Keats didn't just tell Brown to take a walk.

Just brilliant. One of the best exhibitions of 2009 by one of the most important artists of the last 100 years.
