Nils Frahm’s third LP has an intimacy that most piano-led albums can only dream of. Recorded in the dead of night in Frahm’s Berlin apartment using various methods of sound damping, Felt creates a milieu of creaking floorboards, scraped piano innards and heavy breathing. Not your usual approach, then.
