Bringing the atmospheric Kent marshes and city streets of high society London up to Cumbria is this waterside production of Great Expectations. As a contribution to the 2012 celebration of Dickens bicentenary, the artistic director Ian Forrest holds host to a classic retelling of how orphan Pip's life is transformed by the wealth of a secret benefactor.
